A must place to visit! Angelina's is a tea-room/restaurant situated just facing the Tuileries Gardens in the 1st
aarondissement. It's been around since the Belle Epoque in 1903 and is most famous for it's exhilarating hot chocolate (house specialty: Chocolat a l'Africain) and pastries (house specialty: the 'Mont-Blanc' which comes from the Italian Alps and consists of meringue, whipped cream and sweet chestnut cream).
The decoration has remained almost untouched since its opening over a hundred years ago except for the Art Deco chandeliers which were later added in the 1930's. Some of it's most famous and loyal clientel included Coco Chanel and Marcel Proust. During the 1970's it used to host fashion shows and today the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Jean-Paul Gaultier still host private fashion events there - and of course, the world of fashion still remains among its faithful customers. Angelina's is a real symbol of the charming Parisian lifestyle...
Located at 226 rue Rivoli, in the 1st - nearest metro Tuileries (line1)
